Illinois Round 1 Race Report
Wed May 7, 2008 10:02AM
Illinois State Pro Series Round 1 was very successful. Thanks to all of those who attended.
The weather was a little cold but the racing was hot!!!!!
We had 83 racers, ran 3 rounds of qualifying, and mains in just over 10 hours. I would like to thank the racers, and the hosts, Lorrie And Darrell Paige
of RJD Hobbies for a very successful 1st round. The bar has been set high for the following rounds to reach. I believe the next round will be even more
successful.
Mark your calendars for the Illinois State Pro Series Round 2 at Redline RC Raceway, Marion, IL for July 12th. Redline will be running a club race the
night before the state race. That race will be starting at 6pm. Prior to that the track will be open for practice at 11 am on July 11th.
When we get a little closer, I will post some phone numbers of hotels close to the track.
I hope to see all of you there!!!!!

Illinois State Series announcement
Wed Apr 16, 2008 2:23PM
After hearing the concerns from a lot of racers in Illinois, Illinois State has decided to add another round to the schedule. We are adding a 3rd round to achieve enough races to have a drop. We will now have 3 rounds of racing with 1 drop and a final. The finals will still pay 1.5 times the normal points.
NOW, the 3rd round will be....................River City Raceway, Peoria, IL. The date will be August 16th. Thanks to River City for being able to accommodate the state series at the last minute.
It is up to the individual tracks as to what will happen on the Fridays before the race, club race, practice, or nothing. Please contact the host tracks for more info.
The daily schedule will be as follows: 7:30 am track opens
8:00 am sign up opens
9:00 am sign up closes
9:30 am track closes
9:45 am drivers meeting
10:00 am Racing begins
I apologise for the original short 2008 schedule. I thought it was a good thing considering the price of gas. I appreciate the feed back I have received from you, the racers. I have only received a few email and phone calls directly. Carlton and David have fielded most of that. I need to know what you want to do. This series is for you. Let me know if you have a problem and if I do not resolve it to your satisfaction, then go to David, then Carlton. I do not read forums, I do not have time, and if someone has a problem with me or the series they need to contact me directly. If someone can't talk with me directly it must not be that big of a problem.
I hope you all come out to run all of the Illinois State Series. I will see all of you at Lincoln on the 3rd of May.
