Illinois State 2008
Sun Aug 24, 2008 9:02PM
I would like to thank all the participants that raced the Illinois State Pro Series. As I said in the awards presentation, "It is not the sanctioning body, RC Pro Series, that makes the events successful, It is you, the racers." I am looking forward to the 2009 season. I am always looking for ways to make the races more fun. If any of you have any ideas, please email me at 95dirtcircus@gmail.com . One idea passed on to me is to not apply the decals to the plaques. Some would like to apply the decals to their trailers and so forth.
Congratulations to all of the State Champions,
Nick Hacker, Monster Truck
Travis Lawrence, Intermediate Arena Truck and Int. 1.8 Scale
Larry Dean Pope, Expert Arena Truck and Expert 1.8 Buggy
I look forward to seeing all of you next year if I don't see you in Texas!!!!

Illinois State Series Round 2
Mon Jul 7, 2008 1:42PM
Illinois State Rd 2 was a battle with mother nature. The Friday night club race was rained out 10 minutes before it was set to begin.
The rain made the track good for qualifying on Saturday for the 67 attendees. All 3 rounds of qualifying was completed and the mains were started.
A thunderstorm moved in quickly during the Sportsman 1/8 Scale B main. The race was called 12 minutes in due to lightning. Because the
race was past half way, the results stood.
After a half hour delay, racing resumed. The A mains were shortened because of another approaching storm front. I think I looked at the radar
as much as I looked at the scoring. The race was on, the race program vs. mother nature. Monster Truck, Int Arena Truck, and Ex Arena Truck
were all completed. The Sportsman 1/8 race was started. Racers had just started the first pit stops when the rain came down in bucket form. This
race was called only 6 minutes into the 20 minute race. Mother nature won out with just a 15 minute rain, it washed away the track. The 1/8 scale A
mains reverted back to qualifying for awarding the event points.
Seems like in the mid west, rain has been out biggest competitor rather than other racers.
I would like to thank all of the racers who attended the Illinois State Pro Series Rd 2 at Redline RC Raceway. A special thanks goes out to Matt Melvin,
Kyle Melvin, Jason & John Nay, and Josh Karl for helping prepare the track. "Thanks Guys"
I look forward to seeing all of you at River City Raceway in Peoria on Aug 16th.

RC Pro Membership
Wed Jun 11, 2008 2:12PM
Have been getting alot of email about RC Pro membership. If you are going to run in any of the RC Pro Divisional Series races YOU have to be a RC Pro member. One day membership is available for 1 event.
If you are running the RC Pro State Series Events YOU do not have to be a member of RC Pro.
Hope this helps.
