Texas State FinalsThu Sep 13, 2007 8:23PMChampionship Finals Race Date: October 20 and 21, Toys 4 Big Boys, Entry Fees: 1st Class $30.00 Each additional class is $25.00 Note: We will open entries middle of September and only allow racers that have raced in the series to signup, 2 weeks prior to race we will open to all racers. Racers that only race to finals will not receive points. Qualifiers and Mains: Format and Classes: Gas Truck Monster Truck Arena Truck 1/8 Sportsman 1/8 Buggy Qualifiers: 3 x 7 minutes each using quaili-points Mains: Gas Truck: A-30 minutes, B-15 minutes, C and lower 10 minutes 1/8 Sportsman: A-35 minutes, B-20 minutes, C and lower 10 minutes 1/8 Open : A-45 minutes, B-25 minutes, C and lower 15 minutes Arena truck: A-45 minutes, B-25 minutes, C and lower 15 minutes Monster truck: A-30 minutes, B-15 minutes, C and lower 10 minutes IFMAR rules and quailifers apply. We will resort after each round so that the fastest guy in the heat always starts on gate 1 for the heats. We will run each racer on his own clock. IFMAR ground starts in affect for all mains. We will have a 1 minute of silence and 2 minutes of warmup between each heat and take a 15 minute break after each set of quailifers. Practice and Race times: Friday: will be determined by the track. Saturday: will be for those that didn’t practice Friday only. 7:30 to 9:30am drivers meeting 10:00am and races at 10:30am Sunday : will have 1 hour of pratice and then start mains. 8:00am to 9:00am and drivers meeting and races start at 9:30am. Mains: For the mains we will call out the drivers for each main, just for some props for them. “A” main drivers will be called out and have their picture taken and then proceed to drivers stand. Trophies: TQ and 1st thru 3rd, also Top 5 in points will receive plaques. "Illinois State Finals will go on as scheduled, Sept. 8th. After a phone consultation, the River City Raceway operators have assured everyone that the facility will be completely ready to race on Saturday. Issues of parking were addressed (grassy area being soft) and I was told there plenty of parking on the north side of the race track in a gravel area. River City Raceway will have the track changes in place by mid-week. Sept. 8th Illinois Points have been posted, these show the points after Round 4 with a drop.
"Due to racer input, it has been requested that the Illinois State Finals be shortened to a single day event. Hopefully the will entice more people to come. We are trying to save the expense of a hotel stay for the racers. This will be Saturday, September 8th. I hope to see all of you there! Larry Thomason, Illinois State Co-director" |
